Teaching Adventures

We made it back to Budapest safe and sound! Thank you to everyone who was praying. We didn’t write right away because we were knee-deep in boxes moving into our new rental house — and picking up our dog, Midnight, from the family who watched her all summer.

School jumped right back in for all of us. Ben is teaching Educational Technology and Robotics again this year, plus a new AP Computer Science class for high schoolers — please pray for grace and peace as he takes that on. I’ve been teaching too: a session for YWAM’s School of Biblical Studies staff in Amsterdam, an upcoming week teaching John’s writings at a Discipleship Bible School in Lausanne, and then a full Bible overview for our own DTS here in Budapest. Meanwhile, Jay is in grade 11 and Kai has started high school, and both are off to a great start.

In Ukraine, this summer’s YWAM Kyiv team built 20 homes and a church, ran a kids camp for 85 children, and saw 34 people give their lives to Christ. Watch Tetyana’s story. The team is also raising $100,000 for solar panels so the campus can keep running through blackouts this winter — you can give here.

We’ve also loved hosting Ben’s sister Maria and her husband Ike, who are passing through Budapest on a three-week ministry trip.
