What is interesting is watching your children go through ‘phases.’ At one point of the year they start getting really interested in something, usually due to the influence of their friends. Then time goes on and something that was really important to them slowly takes a back seat to other things. As a mom, I feel I am starting to see this more and more as my kids turn from children to teenagers.

Well, Jay is only 10, but being the oldest boy, he is growing up quite fast in terms of his interests. Right now he loves K-Pop. He loves the rhythm of the music, and also the very cool choreography in the dances. It was funny, he said to me the other day that one of the reasons he likes K-Pop is that if the music has swears or other inappropriate things, he can’t tell because he doesn’t understand the Korean. 🙂

We’ll see how long this phase lasts, but I kind of like k-pop too, so I’m enjoying this musical taste as well.
